Returns & Refund Policy

At Innova Corsetry, LLC, every custom corset is individually designed and handcrafted according to the measurements, style, fabrics, colors, and preferences selected by each customer. Because of the personalized nature of our products, our return and refund policy differs from that of standard retail items.
Standard (Non-Custom) Products
For non-custom products, customers may request a return within 14 days of receiving their order.
To be eligible for a return, the item must:
- Be unused.
- Be in its original condition.
- Be returned in its original packaging.
- Be accompanied by proof of purchase.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you whether your return has been approved.
Custom-Made Corsets
Every custom corset is individually handcrafted according to the customer’s body measurements, design selections, fabrics, colors, and other specifications. Because these garments are made exclusively for one customer, the following policies apply.
1. Order Cancellation
Custom orders may be cancelled only before production has begun.
Production begins once pattern drafting, material cutting, sourcing of custom materials, or garment construction has started.
Once production has begun, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded.
2. Delayed Design Approval
Customers are expected to finalize all design selections, including fabrics, colors, style, and other customization details, within a reasonable period after placing their order.
If the customer has not completed or confirmed these selections within six (6) months of the original purchase date, the order shall become non-cancellable and non-refundable.
This policy reflects the professional services, labor, and resources already invested by Innova Corsetry, including but not limited to:
- Design consultations.
- Customer correspondence.
- Fabric sourcing and material research.
- Preparation of design recommendations.
- Pattern drafting and development.
- Reservation of production capacity.
The customer may still complete the design process after the six-month period and production may proceed; however, the order will no longer be eligible for cancellation or refund.
If fabrics or materials originally discussed become unavailable due to supplier changes, discontinued collections, or inventory limitations, Innova Corsetry will offer the closest available alternatives. Such changes shall not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund.
Failure to respond to requests for measurements, design approvals, fabric selections, or any other information required to complete the order shall not extend or suspend the six-month period.
3. Design Approval
By submitting body measurements and approving the style, fabrics, colors, and design details, the customer confirms that all selections have been carefully reviewed and accepted.
The customer’s approval authorizes Innova Corsetry to begin manufacturing the garment according to those specifications.
Once production has begun, approved design selections cannot be changed.
Changes in personal preference after approval do not qualify for cancellation, exchange, or refund.
4. Return Eligibility
A custom corset is eligible for return only if it was manufactured incorrectly according to the measurements originally provided by the customer.
To request a return, the customer must contact Innova Corsetry within 14 days of receiving the order and provide:
- Clear photographs of the corset.
- A video showing the measurement process.
- Measurements of the finished corset taken while the corset is completely closed and laid flat on a hard, flat surface, following Innova Corsetry’s measuring instructions.
- Measurements of the Waist, Chest, and High Hip.
These measurements will be compared to the measurements originally submitted by the customer.
5. Manufacturing Tolerance
Because every corset is individually handcrafted, a manufacturing tolerance of up to ½ inch (1.27 cm) is considered normal and does not constitute a manufacturing defect.
6. Corset Compression
Corsets are compression garments intentionally designed to fit smaller than the wearer’s body measurements.
If the finished corset matches the customer’s submitted measurements or measures approximately 1 to 3 inches smaller, this is considered proper construction and does not qualify for return, exchange, or refund.
7. Manufacturing Errors
If, after inspection, the finished corset measures larger than the customer’s submitted measurements (excluding the manufacturing tolerance), the garment will be considered incorrectly manufactured.
The customer may choose either:
- A replacement corset at no additional cost, or
- A full refund after the original corset has been returned and inspected.
8. Customer Measurement Responsibility
Customers are solely responsible for providing accurate body measurements.
Innova Corsetry is not responsible for garments that do not fit due to:
- Incorrect measurements submitted by the customer.
- Measurements taken incorrectly.
- Failure to follow our measuring instructions.
- Changes in body size or weight after the order was placed.
9. Colors and Fabrics
Due to differences in monitor settings, photography, lighting conditions, and fabric dye lots, slight variations in color, texture, or pattern may occur.
These variations are normal and shall not be considered manufacturing defects.
10. Alterations and Product Condition
Returns, exchanges, or refunds will not be accepted if the corset has:
- Been altered or modified by a third party.
- Been repaired by anyone other than Innova Corsetry.
- Been damaged through misuse, improper care, or normal wear.
- Been used in a manner inconsistent with its intended purpose.
Returned products must be in the same condition in which they were received to allow proper inspection.
11. European Union Customers
Under Article 16(c) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that are made to the consumer’s specifications or are clearly personalized.
Because every custom corset is individually manufactured according to the customer’s measurements and design selections, custom orders are exempt from the European Union right of withdrawal once production has begun.
Standard (non-custom) products remain subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
Refund Processing
Once an approved return has been received and inspected, customers will be notified of the approval or rejection of their refund.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original method of payment.
Depending on your financial institution, refunds may require 5–10 business days to appear.
Shipping
If a return is approved due to a manufacturing error by Innova Corsetry, we will provide return instructions and cover reasonable return shipping costs when applicable.
For any other approved return permitted under this policy, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Exchanges
Custom-made products are not eligible for exchanges due to:
- Changes in personal preference.
- Color selection.
- Fabric selection.
- Style selection.
- Incorrect measurements submitted by the customer.
Exchanges are available only in cases of verified manufacturing defects.
